I’m really good at giving advice. When it comes to the bar exam, after 25 years of teaching, I’ve seen a lot and I have pretty strong ideas about what works – and what doesn’t.
One of my favorite pieces of advice to bar exam takers is to occasionally chill out and take some quiet, reflective time for themselves.
Fortunately, I’ve been married to a very wise (most say wiser than me) woman for over 40 years and she’s heard me give the “chill out” advice hundreds of times. So, when she said that I needed a little of my own remedy, we decided to take a week to head to the beach here in Seaside and just relax. It’s one of our favorite places to just be quiet, reflect and share time together. Do you have a place like that?
It’s been the perfect remedy for me, and so, if you’re gearing up for the July 2015 bar exam, I would say now’s the time for you to get your “chill on.” We’ve got 80 days until the bar exam and you’re going to need a lot of energy between now and then. And hey, it’s good to have a happy teacher along the way as well!
